About the role

WeDive Lagos is seeking a passionate and professional SSI Instructor to join our growing dive team. The ideal candidate is not only certified and experienced, but also enthusiastic about sharing the underwater world with others and delivering high-quality, safe, and enjoyable training experiences. We are looking for someone who is confident teaching SSI programs across multiple levels, from beginner divers through to advanced training, and who can adapt their instruction to different learning styles and student needs. Strong communication skills, patience, and a calm, safety-focused mindset are essential. The successful candidate should be a team player who thrives in a dynamic, customer-focused environment and is excited to contribute to the personal growth of their students. Prior experience working in a dive center or resort setting is a plus, along with a commitment to maintaining the highest professional and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Guiding certified divers to their level of certification and providing supervision if diving beyond their level of certification (max 4 divers per guide) - Conducting Try Scuba Diving programs in pool and open water (max 2 divers in open water) - Conducting scuba diving courses in all environments (classroom, pool, confined waters and open water) - Conducting pool demonstrations in different hotels of the area. - Assistance with daily logistics onboard and in the dive center’s bases

Requirements

- Customer orientation - Ability to adapt to cold water, low visibility environments - Team work skills - Own equipment is a plus, but we can offer good prices to get it here
