DiveGigs · AI integration

Connect your AI assistant to DiveGigs.

DiveGigs has a Model Context Protocol server. Plug Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other MCP-compatible AI into your account, and it can search dive jobs, draft applications, manage applicants and draft listings, all in plain English from inside the chat you already use.

Works with Claude Desktop, Claude.ai, ChatGPT (with MCP enabled), Cursor, Zed, and any other client that speaks Model Context Protocol. You stay in control: each AI client gets its own consent screen showing which abilities it's asking for, and you can disconnect any of them at any time.

For divers

Find your next role from a chat box.

Once DiveGigs is connected, your AI can read your profile, surface jobs the matching engine already scored for you, draft tailored cover letters, walk you through screening questions, and submit when you're ready.

What your AI can do

  • · Search jobs and see your personalised matches
  • · Read your profile, applications, saved jobs
  • · Update your profile, upload CVs, save searches
  • · Draft cover letters and submit applications

Try asking

"What's the best matching dive job for me right now?"

"Find PADI instructor roles in Indonesia with accommodation."

"Draft my application for the Bali OWSI role using my CV. Walk me through the screening questions."

For employers

Run hiring from the chat you're already in.

See your applicants, change statuses, draft new listings, manage course enquiries, and generate secure checkout links to publish, all without leaving Claude or ChatGPT. The AI prepares the work, you review and confirm. Payment always happens on a checkout page you click.

What your AI can do

  • · See your jobs, applicants, courses, enquiries
  • · Update applicant status (shortlist / reject / hire)
  • · Draft new job and course listings
  • · Generate checkout links to publish or top up credits

Try asking

"How many applicants on my Komodo internship this week? Summarise the top three."

"Draft a Featured listing for a 6-month divemaster role at our Sulawesi base, then give me the publish link."

"Mark applicant 42 as shortlisted. Show me their cover letter first."

Three steps to connect.

Setup takes about a minute. You only need to do it once per AI client.

1

Add a connector in your AI

Open your AI's settings and add a custom MCP connector. Paste this URL: https://divegigs.com/mcp/v1

Claude Desktop: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
ChatGPT: Settings → Connectors → Add (with MCP enabled).
Cursor / Zed: Settings → MCP → Add server.

2

Sign in and approve

Your AI redirects you to DiveGigs. Sign in if you aren't already. You'll see a consent screen showing exactly which abilities the AI is asking for. Tick the ones to grant, click Approve.

3

Ask anything

You're back in your AI. It now sees DiveGigs in its tool list and uses it whenever you mention dive jobs, applicants, listings or course enquiries. Disconnect any time from your connected apps page.

You stay in control.

Per-connection, scoped permissions

When an AI asks to connect, you see a consent screen with tickable abilities. Want to let it read your matches but never apply on your behalf? Untick the apply box. Different AI clients can have different permissions — one read-only, another with full draft access.

No autonomous spending

AI can draft listings and prepare checkout links, but cannot charge your card. Every payment goes through a secure checkout page where you review the cart and click Pay. The AI never sees or stores card details.

Tenant isolation, audit log

Tokens only see records belonging to your account, not other users'. Every tool call is recorded in an audit log with the timestamp, the tool, and which token was used.

Revoke instantly

From your connected apps page (after sign-in), click Revoke on any token and the AI client using it stops working immediately. No grace period, no waiting for a token to expire.

Frequently asked questions

What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol. An open standard from Anthropic that lets AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor securely connect to outside services. DiveGigs ships an MCP server so any compatible AI client can act on your DiveGigs account when you ask it to.

Does it cost anything?

No. Connecting an AI to DiveGigs is free. You still pay the regular DiveGigs prices for things like publishing job listings or topping up the course-enquiry wallet, but the connection itself is free.

Will the AI accidentally apply to a job or post a listing without me asking?

No. AI clients only call tools when you ask them to do something. The DiveGigs tools also include strict 'confirm before acting' instructions, so the AI is told to show you the cover letter, the new applicant status, or the price before doing anything that has consequences.

Which AI clients work?

Anything that speaks MCP. Claude Desktop, Claude.ai, ChatGPT (with MCP enabled), Cursor, Zed, and several smaller clients. The setup pattern is the same across all of them: a URL plus a bearer token.

What data does the AI see?

Only data your account already has access to via the website. Divers see their own profile, matches, applications and saved jobs. Employers see their own jobs, applicants, courses and enquiries. Cross-account data is filtered out server-side.

Can I connect different AI clients separately?

Yes. Connect Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor, Zed independently. Each gets its own consent screen, its own scopes, and its own connection record on your profile. Disconnecting one doesn't affect the others.

Does the AI store my DiveGigs data?

Anthropic, OpenAI, and the other AI providers each have their own data policies for what they retain from conversations. DiveGigs itself stores only the audit log of which tools were called when, not the conversation content — and tool-call arguments are stored as a one-way hash, not as raw values. Section 15 of our privacy policy covers this in full. If retention matters to you, also check your AI provider's policy.

Where can I read the privacy and security details?

Section 15 of our privacy policy at /privacy covers exactly what data flows through the AI provider, what DiveGigs logs, and how to revoke access. The short version: only data your account already sees, payment never autonomous, every tool call audited with hashed arguments, instant revoke from your connected apps page.

What if something doesn't work?

Disconnect the connector and reconnect it from scratch — most issues are a stale tools list cache on the AI client side. If that doesn't help, get in touch via our contact page and include which AI client you're using.
